Closer Look | Lionel Messi's Custom Adidas Messi 2015-2016 Boots

Update 27/12/15: A new picture of Messi's Boots confirms that the Argentine superstar is wearing exactly the same boots that customers can buy in store. Before Adidas released the first-ever Messi-exclusive silo in June 2015, the FC Barcelona striker laced up in a heavily modified version of the Adidas F50 Adizero Boots with a leather upper.

FC Barcelona superstar Leo Messi laced up in the striking Adidas Messi 15.1 Boots for the first time in today's FC Barcelona training session. He is set to debut the bold cleats in El Clásico against Real Madrid on Saturday.

Even though the striking Adidas Messi 2015-2016 Boots were already revealed officially yesterday, the Argentine striker still wore the white and blue Adidas Messi 15.1 Boot Colorway in yesterday's training session.

Boasting a striking color gradient from a black forefoot area to a red heel, the third Adidas Messi 2015-2016 Boot is designed to make a bold statement on the pitch. And while Messi's boots are identical to the retail version performance-wise, the upper comes with various details that are exclusive to the boots worn by the superstar.

On the heel area is his shirt number 10 as well as the Argentine flag, while on the instep and outstep of the boots are the names of his children, respectively (Thiago and Mateo).

Anything but dull. What do you think of the on-pitch impression of Messi's new boots? Let us know in the comments below.
