Under Armour this week quietly unveiled a totally new line of football boots to replace the Under Armour SpeedForm, launched only last year itself - the Under Armour Spotlight.

The Under Armour Spotlight soccer cleats are debuted in a no-nonsense white and black colorway. Predominantly white, the heel cup, cuff, tongue and brandings are black. Also white, the sole plate of the new Under Armour Spotlight football boots features black accents in the form of the studs.
Tech-wise, the Under Armour Spotlight carries over some parts of the discontinued SpeedForm, most notably the outsole with the external heel counter. Designed for offensive players, the Under Armour Spotlight features a lightweight, synthetic upper and an asymmetrical construction for a larger striking surface.
On the inside of the all-new Under Armour Spotlight boots, internal traction pads have been added to the sockliner in order to reduce slipping and to secure the foot inside the boot. The outsole of the Under Armour Spotlight is identical to that of the SpeedForm. Bladed studs are used to increase traction and allow for an explosive first step.
Unveiled in early June, 2016, the new Under Armour Spotlight cleats retail at a similar price as the SpeedForm, which costs €220 ($220, £160). A striking "Rocket Red" paint job is also available from day one for those who prefer a less understated look.
