Following our recent reports on Adidas continuing their three-tier kit strategy for the 2026 World Cup, we can now share images of the Argentina 2026 World Cup home kit. As expected, the budget-friendly version makes some sacrifices - but this time, the release is a product that looks even cheaper than you would expect.
Argentina 2026 World Cup Takedown 'Fan' Kit
This is a side-by-side look at the authentic and takedown versions of the new Adidas Argentina 2026 home jersey.
Designed to be the cheapest entry point for fans, the Adidas Argentina 2026 Takedown kit features an incredibly simplified and minimalist design. When compared directly to the premium Authentic version, the cost-cutting measures are glaringly obvious.
What is missing or downgraded on the Takedown kit?
- Flat, Textureless Stripes: The gradients found inside the light blue stripes of the Authentic kit are entirely gone. The Takedown version features completely flat, solid blue color blocks.
- No World Champions Badge: The prestigious golden FIFA World Champions 2022 badge, which sits proudly in the center of the Authentic and Replica shirts, is absent on the Fan version.
- Basic Logos: The high-end 3D metallic-effect AFA crest and Adidas logo have been replaced with very simple, flat printed decals.
- T-Shirt Fit: The overall cut and material of the shirt lack any performance tailoring, resulting in a loose, boxy fit that closely resembles a standard everyday t-shirt rather than a football kit.
Pricing and Availability
The only advantage of this stripped-back 'Fan' jersey is the price. While the Authentic version will set fans back around €150, and the standard Replica around €100, this Takedown version retails at just 40 USD ($50 Singporean dollars). It is not available in all markets, likely, however.
