Former Adidas Football Design Director Martin Tibabuzo (@martin.tibabuzo), who is now Creative Director Peak Sport Argentina, has showed off two rejected football kit designs from 2009 for the popular #10YearsChallange.
Both kits shown off by the designer Martin Tibabuzo were intended to be for the 2009-2010 season. He did not reveal why the designs were not approved by the clubs.
Rejected AC Milan 09-10 Third Kit
The rejected AC Milan 2009-2010 third jersey is black with a unique red and white design on the left side of the kit. It has white logos and red applications.
Milan's rejected away jersey is based on the Adidas template of that time, called Adidas Formotion.
The final third jersey was much cleaner without any striking elements, but with the same colors.
Rejected River Plate 09-10 Away Kit
The River Plate jersey that did not make it features a stylish design based on an iconic River Plate away jersey of the mid-1980s. It is red with differently sized white horizontal stripes in the chest area.
Template-wise, the rejected River Plate away kit is based on the Adidas Formotion template, just as the Milan jersey.
