Adidas Formotion Returns Ahead of 2026 World Cup

Adidas has quietly brought back their long-discontinued Formotion technology for the new Tiro 26 training range, including the upcoming 2026 World Cup federation training tops such as Argentina’s, Germany's and Italy's.

The Adidas Formotion tech, last seen widely in the early 2010s, appears again as a small hem print on the new garments, confirming its official return.

Formotion is originally known for its 3D-shaped construction and body-specific paneling, and the updated Tiro 26 tops follow the same principle with more ergonomic sleeves and subtly engineered fabrics. For now, the comeback seems limited to training wear, with no sign that adidas plans to reintroduce Formotion on match shirts.

The Adidas 2026 World Cup Tiro tops the clearest example so far, combining the revived Formotion branding with a modern, streamlined design that fits the current adidas training aesthetic.
