Botafogo To Sign Kappa Kit Deal

Kappa is set to become the new kit maker of Brazilian club Botafogo, according to Brazilian website FogãoNet. Kappa would replace Topper, who had been making the club's kits since 2016.

Kappa was Botafogo's kit maker between 2004 and 2009.

Kappa to Become Botafogo Kit Maker

According to FogãoNet, the Kappa Botafogo kit deal has not been signed officially yet but is due to be finalized in the coming weeks. The figures of the deal are still being discussed, while the contract would have a length between three and five years.

However, while Botafogo's deal with Topper already expires in April 2019, the team would continue to wear Topper kit until Kappa would have designed and made the kits - Kappa will need four months for that.

The news of Botafogo's Kappa kit deal continues a trend. Kappa signed major kit deals with various clubs in the past year (inclusing Botafogo-SP and Vitória.), while Topper is losing many of their major kit deals. Atlético-MG announced an agreement with Le Coq Sportif, while Nautico and Remo are set to launch their own brands.
