The new Nike 1971 remake football boots stay true to the original design of Nike's first-ever football cleats.

The design is simple with a black leather upper and white Nike swoosh. The graphic in reference to the Mexico 1970 World Cup is still present on the tongue and the insole.

The soleplate is a classic 13 conical studs which was the standard for pretty much all football cleats at the time.

Originally, the Nike 1971 was an extremely poor design. It was available for $16.95 when released and could not withstand wet and cold weather. Things got so bad that Nike had to withdraw the products.

Nike 1971 Remake - Features

Nike's new 1971 remake cleats are available from 6 December 2021, retailing at $250, limited to 1,971 pairs.

A true collectors' item, they are only available in one size (UK 8) and ship in a weathered box. The boots include a metal horseshoe, recalling a common practice used by the company producing the original boot in 1971, Mexico-based Canada Footwear.
