Nike Hypervenom Phantom II Euro 2016 Boots Released

Nike has prepared a stunning Nike Hypervenom Phantom II for Euro 2016, combining a striking yellow base with a black and turquoise gradient upper design. The bold Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Spark Brilliance soccer cleats will be available to buy from May 29 and are the first-ever second-generation Nike Hypervenom boots to bring back the iconic, old, honeycomb-like upper.

Nike unveiled the second generation of the Nike Hypervenom football boots in May 2015, adding a heightened collar to the agility cleats for the very first time. The likes of Robert Lewandowski, Jamie Vardy and Edinson Cavani will sport the yellow Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2016 boots at Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario, respectively. Nike Hypervenom Phantom II Euro 2016 - Volt / Black / Hyper Turquoise / Clear Jade

This is the extremly bold Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Spark Brilliance soccer boot for Euro 2016 and Copa America 2016.

Combining the main color Volt with black brandings, the flamboyant Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Euro 2016 boots feature a unique and unprecedented color gradient on the graphic print on the outside and outsole. The gradient visible on the Nike Hypervenom Copa America 2016 cleats fades from Volt at the back to turquoise at the front.

The Volt Nike Hypervenom Phantom Copa and Euro 2016 boots are the first to return to the first-generation upper, a design that was already spotted on the feet of players such as Ross Barkley and Robert Lewandowski.

“The upper of the Hypervenom II takes a bit longer to break-in than the Hypervenom I,” says Max Blau, VP Nike Football Footwear. “We provide new boots to our professional players so frequently that we shifted to the Hypervenom I material to ease the break-in period. We want all players to have what the best players in the world are wearing, so we are bringing the Hypervenom I upper back,” he concludes.

Other than that, the technologies used for the yellow Nike Hypervenom Phantom Spark Brilliance soccer cleats are identical to what has been used in all previous colorways of the second-generation Hypervenom cleats. Combining a high-cut Dynamic Fit collar with a tongue-less upper construction, the Nike Hypervenom Phantom II football boots also include Flywire strings that are applied to the NikeSkin upper for improved lockdown and a sock-like fit.

Set to be available to buy from May 29, the yellow Nike Hypervenom Euro 2016 boots retail at 275 USD (275 Euro, 230 GBP) and also come out in a Phinish variant for those who prefer a more traditional sockliner.
