Adidas Ace 15.1 Boots - Who Will Wear Them?

Adidas will next week launch the all-new Adidas Ace 15.1 Boots, but which Adidas players will wear and promote the new Adidas control silo?

The new Adidas Ace 15 Football Cleats will first be released in a yellow / gray colorway on 25 May. Two main features of the new Adidas Ace 15.1 Boots are the three-layer upper for improved fit and better control as well as the completely new FG / AG mixed soleplate with many differently sized conical studs.

Adidas Ace 15.1 Players

Mesut Özil will be among the players to wear the new Adidas Ace 15.1 Boots.

Marketed as the boot to gain ultimate control over the game, the Adidas Ace 15 Soccer Cleats are the closest we get to the iconic Adidas Predator of all football boots from Adidas' new offering. Contrary to the also new Adidas X 15 Boots, which more or less follow up on the Adizero, the Adidas Ace has to cater for former players of all three other discontinued Adidas silos: 11pro, Nitrocharge and Predator.

Real Madrid's James Rodríguez, Bayern München's Manuel Neuer and Arsenal's Mesut Özil will headline the new Adidas Ace 15 Boots silo. Neuer will also wear the new Adidas Ace Zones Goalkeeper Gloves from the start of the new season.

Other important football players to wear the Adidas Ace 15.1 Soccer Cleats are Koke, Iker Casillas, Javi Martínez, Phil Jones, Fernando Torres, Marc-André ter Stegen, Xabi Alonso, Ander Herrera, Oscar, Mats Hummels and Neven Subotic.

Additionally to the regular, synthetic version of the new Adidas Ace Boots, Adidas will also release an Adidas Ace 15.1 Leather Boot variant. The leather Adidas Ace 15.1 Cleats have a soft kangaroo-leather upper in the front part, while the back including the external heel counter and the soleplate are identical to the synthetic variation.

Amongst the players having worn the leather Adidas Ace 15.1 Boots in training are FC Barcelona's Ivan Rakitic (previously Predator), Inter's Hernanes (Predator) and AS Roma's Daniele De Rossi (11pro). Expect more previous 11pro players to add to this list once the new Adidas Ace 15.1 Leather Cleats will be debuted at this year's Champions League final.
