Once again made by Nike and sponsored by Etihad Airways, Manchester City's 2017-2018 away jersey is claret. This is not the first-time maroon has featured in an away kit and as with many of the recent offerings, it is inspired by the Club's rich history. In example, dark maroon was present on the shirt worn by the 1956 FA Cup winning team.
Manchester City 17-18 Away Kit
This is the Manchester City 2017-18 away shirt.
Manchester City's 2017-2018 away jersey is predominantly dark red, or claret. Claret is a color that has been used for Manchester City change kits frequently in the past, most recently for the 2002-03 Manchester City third kit, made by Le Coq Sportif. White is used for the Nike and Etihad sponsor logos on the front of the Manchester City 17-18 away kit.
Template-wise, the Manchester City 2017-2018 away kit is based on the second generation of the Nike Vapor template, which features subtle changes to the lateral insets as well as to the pattern on the sleeves.
Navy is used for said insets, on the sides and under the arms of the Manchester City 17-18 away kit. A sky blue line around the collar rounds off the design.
The shorts and socks of the Manchester City 2017-2018 away kit are both claret with navy and white details. The socks also feature a sky blue band around the calf.
The Manchester City 17-18 away jersey was released on July 25 2017.
