FIFA To Be Renamed as "EA Sports FC"

Update: New reports suggest that there will be one more EA Sports football name under the FIFA name.

Video Games Cronicle reported that FIFA 23 would be the last game to have FIFA in the title before the name will change to "EA Sports FC" once the license expires following the 2022 World Cup.

One week ago, it was revealed that EA SPORTS’ FIFA franchise will likely switch their name. Now a new trademark filing taken out by EA reveals the likely new name of the most famous football video game.

Only this year, Konami rebranded their Pro Evolution Soccer title to eFootball while also becoming a free-to-play model.
