Update: Rayo released its new 24-25 home, away, and third kits yesterday. Now, it appears that the special Rayo centenary home kit will also go on sale (and possibly also be used) - the club will make an announcement at 9 PM local time.
Update: Rayo Vallecano debuted its 2024 centenary kit in a special all-star match. Umbro also created an away kit and goalkeeper kit for the centenary match - the away shirt had a very bold and striking color scheme of sky blue, pink, and green.
Rayo Vallecano was founded on May 29, 1924, in the Madrid neighborhood of Vallecas. The club's early years were characterized by a strong connection to the local community, which has continued to be a defining feature of its identity.
The Rayo Centenary jerseys are made by Umbro and will not be worn in an official match. They were worn in an all-star game only.
Rayo Vallecano Centenary Kit
This is the new Umbro Rayo Centenary jersey.
The Umbro Rayo Centenary jersey boasts the club's trademark look of a white base with a red sash.
Made from cotton, the Umbro Rayo Centenary shirt has a very traditional collar, while also featuring traditional Umbro and Rayo logos on the chest. The Centenary logo is placed on the upper back below the collar.
Rayo Centenary Away Kit
While the centenary home kit is almost as classic as classic can get, the Rayo Centenary away kit is one of the most garish kits we have ever seen. It combines green, magenta, yellow, and black - almost in the original CMYK colors.
In fact, the colors of the special Rayo away kit were chosen to support the fight against rare diseases. The kit matches the colors of the European Organisation for Rare Diseases, whose logo is printed on the lower left.
Rayo 2024 Centenary Goalkeeper Kit
Inspired by the classic black keeper kits of former days, the Rayo Centenary goalkeeper kit is all-black with a striking red Umbro logo and white for the sponsors.
