Celebrating 20 years of the most important Nike football boot model, the Swoosh today presented the special-edition What The Mercurial Superfly VI Elite, set to be released on March 12 in limited numbers.
Nike Mercurial Superfly 6 What The Mercurial
This is the Nike What The Mercurial Superfly VI 360 Elite soccer boot.
Inspired by the iconic 2016 Nike What The Mercurial - a limited-edition boot that sold out within minutes and featured elements from some of the key Mercurials through history - the new cleats, based on the recently introduced Superfly 6 (360) Elite model, opt for a much more subdued look.
They are all-black and feature subtle knit and print patterns, which again reflect legendary cleats such as the 1998 Mercurial Vapor or the 2002 Mercurial Vapor I.
A special adaptation of the 'M' logo appears on the front of the tongue of the What The Mercurial Superfly VI Elite boots - commemorating the 20th anniversary of the introduction of the silo, which was worn by Ronaldo for the first time just on this day, 8 March, 1998.
A dark metallic sole plate rounds off the design alongside the 'What The Mercurial' wordmark and five dots on the heel, just as on the 2016 edition.
