VfL Bochum will wear a special edition kit for the Ruhr derby against FC Schalke 04 on January 31. Named “Pulse of Steel”, Bochum's new 25-26 special strip pays tribute to Bochum’s industrial roots and its history as a centre of mining and steel production.

This is the new Mizuno VfL Bochum 1848 special shirt for 2025-26.
Designed in black and grey, the Mizuno Bochum 25-26 “Pulse of Steel” special jersey draws inspiration from Herbert Grönemeyer’s references to “Grubengold” and the “pulse of steel” that defines the city.
Woven into the fabric of the Mizuno Bochum 2025-2026 special shirt are subtle details such as the winding tower of the German Mining Museum, hammer and pick symbols, and the impression of a heart cast from steel. The sleeves feature a contrasting look and texture inspired by the traditional miner’s cloth.
