Barcelona to Wear Drake's Logo in Place of Spotify Logo in El Clásico
However, FC Barcelona, Nike nor independent retailers made the new the Drake x Spotify x FC Barcelona available to buy for the public. Let us find out why below.
FC Barcelona Does Not Sell FC Barcelona Soccer Jersey Sponsored by The Drake
First of all, it has to be said that Drake's OVO Sound logo is trademarked, so the use without permission by the Drake is forbidden. Interestingly, OVO already sued an Australian accesories brand called Bellroy for copyright infringement. Bellroy still uses their own owl logo today.
Given these circumstances, it is not far fetched to believe that the Drake would have wanted a commission to allow FC Barcelona to commercially use the OVO owl logo. However, FC Barcelona only has a deal with Spotify in place, and not with the Drake.
