Shinji Kagawa's former Japanese club Cerezo Osaka have adopted the striking graphic pattern of Borussia Dortmund's 2014-15 Home Kit for the new Cerezo Osaka 2015 Away Jersey. The new pink Cerezo 2015 Home Kit features a unique design, inspired by the team name, which comes from the Spanish word for cherry blossom, the official flower of Osaka City.
The new Cerezo Osaka 2015 Shirts are made for first time by German kit supplier Puma, who replaces former jersey supplier Mizuno. Cerezo was relegated to the second Japanese divisions after they finished second to last in the 2014 J. League season.
Cerezo Osaka 2015 Home Kit
This is the new Cerezo Osaka 2015 Home Shirt.
Traditionally, the new Cerezo Home Kit is mainly pink with dark navy applications, strongly influenced by the pink flower of Osaka City. The new Puma Cerezo Osaka 2015 Home Shirt has a classical design with a dark navy stripe running down the sleeves.
Puma added a special flower graphic print pattern on the front and the back of the new Cerezo Osaka 2015 Home Kit to create an original shirt design.
Cerezo 2015 Away Jersey
This is the new Cerezo Osaka Away Kit.
The new Puma Cerezo 2015 Away Kit use the graphic pattern of the Borussia Dortmund 14-15 Home Kit. The new Cerezo 2015 Away Kit is mainly white with the navy BVB graphic pattern on the front and the back of the jersey.
Cerezo Osaka have a strong relationship to German club Borussia Dortmund. In 2010, Shinji Kagawa was transferred from Cerezo Osaka to Borussia Dortmund for €350,000. With Shinji Kagawa, Borussia Dortmund won the 2010-11 and 2011-12 Bundesliga titles.
It is reported that all 2014 J. League teams sponsored by Puma will receive a special Dortmund inspired away kit for the 2015 season. The new Cerezo Osaka 2015 Home and Away Kits are available from December 20, 2014.
