Reporting about the imminent deal between Castore and Feyenoord, Dutch outlet AD mention Hamburg as another potential target for Castore.
Castore, which one day also thinks it will bind the German Hamburger SV, will yield Feyenoord more than 2.5 million extra per season compared to Adidas. In total, it could bring the club about fifty million until 2029. The Rotterdam club does not want to comment on the leaked deal, but it is now clear that Adidas was recently informed by Feyenoord.
Not much to go with, and there are no reports in Germany or elsewhere linking Castore with Hamburg (yet), but we still believe that a deal could be likely given Castore's aspirations to expand their business outside the UK.
As per the reports, Castore would only start supplying Feyenoord from 2023, when the current deal with Adidas ends.
Hamburg's current deal, also with Adidas, does not end until 2024, so an immediate switch is unlikely. Last renewed in 2014, it was reported in 2020 that Adidas did not want to discuss an early renewal of the deal.
In case you missed it, Castore are set to add the likes of Aston Villa, Leverkusen and Sevilla to their roster next season.
