A few days ago, the first images of the next-generation Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 emerged, signaling a massive revolution for the silo. After a decade of dominance, Nike is completely overhauling its premier speed boot, marking a total departure from the current Superfly 10.

Nike Mercurial Superfly 10 vs Next-Gen Superfly 11
The most shocking change is visible at first glance: the "sock" is gone. The Dynamic Fit (DF) collar, which took the football world by storm 10 years ago and defined the modern silhouette of football boots, has been removed.
While the Superfly 10 features the signature high-cut Flyknit collar, the next-gen Superfly 11 returns to a traditional low-cut design similar to standard boots. This effectively ends the high-cut trend that Nike pioneered at the 2014 World Cup.
Tech Revolution: Flyknit vs. FlyWeave Ultra
The changes aren't just aesthetic; the materials have been completely reinvented.
- Superfly 10: Relies on Flyknit, the technology that has been the backbone of the Mercurial line since 2014.
- Superfly 11: Introduces FlyWeave Ultra. This technology, previously seen in Nike's running and American football footwear, provides a firmer touch on the ball while remaining incredibly thin and lightweight.
New Air Zoom Soleplate
Sticking to their two-year upgrade cycle, Nike has also redesigned the chassis of the boot. The soleplate of the Superfly 11 features a new configuration for the Air Zoom unit.
The visible Air unit now includes three additional studs integrated directly into the cushioning zone. This is designed to improve traction during high-speed directional changes, offering more bite than the Superfly 10's plate.
The revolutionary Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 is scheduled to launch in Summer 2026, just in time for the World Cup.
