However, Szoboszlai was also seen wearing his familiar Mercurials during the same training session, suggesting that any change is not yet confirmed and could simply be part of Nike testing. Players trial different models in training before committing to a full switch, but it is not often that a switch is not completed.
Indeed, Nike wants several high-profile players to make the switch to the Tiempo Maestro soccer cleats with the launch of the new generation, including Arda Güler, Estevao, and Phil Foden. This is a clear strategy to reposition the Tiempo in the boots market. However, Foden and Güler still use their familiar old silos regularly.
Fabrizio Romano was acquired by Nike to announce the Tiempo switch of several players, but the players themselves do not seem 100% happy with their new silo.
