Castore could become the next AS Roma kit supplier when the Italian club's contract with Nike ends next year, according to a new SportsPro report.
Liverpool-based Castore made its first forray into football earlier this summer by taking over the Rangers contract from Hummel. Reports following the confirmation of the deal had had already revealed that the brand planned to sign up to five "major clubs around Europe over the next one and a half years."
Speaking to SportsPro in May, Castore co-founder Tom Beahon made no secret of the brand’s lofty ambitions in soccer.
“Football is the most popular sport on the planet, there are huge opportunities for growth in football alone,” he said. “So I think we'll do between three and five partnerships with leading clubs across Europe. That will be the initial focus for now.”

According to the report, Castore's offer "digital-focused", which would allow the club to "reach a wider audience and grow their brand internationally."
New Balance's offer is more traditional and includes an annual lump sum plus performance bonuses.
As per the report, Roma's decision could be announced this week already.
