Earlier this year rumors were afloat about LVMH (Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton) being interested in taking over Italian giant AC Milan.
While nothing has come of it yet and people close to Louis Vuitton owner Bernard Arnault have always denied the claims, those rumors have resurfaced recently with Tuttomercatoweb reporting a week ago that the possible sale is again being discussed.
According to this latest news piece, Milan could be sold for a fixed amount of €500 million plus a additional €350 million to be paid under certain conditions.
LVMH is a global luxury conglomerate that owns a number of high-profile brands including Dior, Fendy, Louis Vuitton and Moët, and is currently in the process of taking over jewelry company Tiffany. Its owner Arnault is one of the richest men in the world with an estimated net worth of USD 113 billion.
When asked for comment by TMW, Elliott Fund, the current owners, refused the rumors while LVMH declined to comment altogether.
