Legendary Argentinian striker Carlos Tévez has caught football fans' attention by wearing a unique pair of "unbranded" Nike football boots.
Carlos Tévez Removes Swoosh From Boots
As spotted by @botasdejugadores, Tevez removed the Swoosh from the outstep of his Nike Phantom Venom football boots. However, Tevez did only remove the Swoosh from the outstep, while the instep still has the Nike branding.
In fact, Carlos Tevez has been without a boot contract since several months. Carlos Tevez previously already laced up in 'unbranded' white / blue Phantom VNM boots and in a blackout version.
Tevez can not simply replace his personalized custom-made Nike cleats
What is possibly even more interesting than the removed Swoosh is why Tevez is doing this instead of just wearing blackout boots. We think it is because he has received custom cleats from Nike with a special outsole and so he can not simply buy new blackout boots when his old pair has reached the end of its shelf life.
There is no official news about Carlos Tevez and his contract situation. However, it is pretty sure that his time with Nike is over.
