Update: Konami have confirmed what most had feared: the new colorway of David Beckham's Predator Accelerator DB boots is actully exclusive to the game and will not be released. Check out a screenshot from the game's official trailer below and scroll further down for our original reporting and more pictures.
A while ago we received info that Adidas were planning to launch another remake Predator boot, tied in somehow with David Beckham. Since then it's been radio silence but today it looks like we could have gotten confirmation of the information as well as a first look at the cleats through an unlikely source - the official PES 2019 announcement trailer.
PES 2019, which was officially announced today, will have David Beckham as an ambassador and even release in a 'Legend Edition' with the legendary midfielder appearing on the box art.
In the announcement trailer, Beckham appears in a virtual recreation of his iconic freekick goal against Greece in 2001, wearing a never-seen-before colorway of the Predator Accelerator DB model that was unveiled late last year.
Inspired by the boots worn by Beckham when he scored against Greece, they are predominantly white with a red tongue and collar and faded grey 3 stripes on the outstep.
Although there's a slim chance that these were just custom-created by Konami for this trailer, we believe that these could indeed be the upcoming Adidas Predator rmeake football boots that were rumored about. Stay tuned for updates as we receive them.
