The kit release season is almost over, which means that a majority of the 2022-23 jerseys are already official. Overall, there are more hits than misses this season regarding new football shirts and their designs, but this does not mean that no awful kits were released this summer.
In general, Nike dominates the worst 2022-2023 football shirts because of their very controversial and experimental jerseys for some of the biggest clubs worldwide. Nike tried to push boundaries, which led to some unique home kits, which completely neglect a club's identity.
For example, PSG received a reverse 'Hechter' look, while Atlético Madrid's 2022-2023 home jersey features wavy red and white stripes - something ATM supporters did not like at all. Very bland Nike 22-23 teamwear templates make the situation even more jarring.

The list gets completed by Macron's garish Arminia Bielefeld 22-23 third kit, which reminds us of garbage men, especially in combination with the shorts and socks. The Joma Getafe 2022-2023 third shirt is another deserved entry because of the awful green & blue colour combination.
The modern OGC Nice 22-23 and Doncaster Rovers kits also ended up in this list for all the wrong reasons. The OGC Nice 22-23 third shirt features a unique colour combination, while the Doncaster Rovers home jersey combines black and garish green in the form of a modern graphic pattern.
