FIFA allows Intercontinental Cup winners to wear the badge for one year, similar to old Club World Cup winners, but individual leagues can have their own rules about displaying international honors. PSG's decision to wear it in UEFA competitions but not consistently in Ligue 1 suggests possible restrictions from the French league, though neither the club nor the LFP have officially commented on the matter.
The Premier League used to allow teams to wear the gold Club World Cup badge for one match only, but changed their rules recently.
