Update: Confirming our exclusive story from last week, New Balance and Cardiff City have just announced that they have agreed on a kit deal that will commence next season.
Today's announcement means that Cardiff leave Adidas after seven years with the brand, a move that will be replicated by a few other British teams this summer.

Cardiff to Sign With New Balance

As per a short video released by the Welsh club, the kit deal between Cardiff and New Balance will start in July 2022, which likely is when we'll see the new kits release.
The video and also imagery released for the deal features a blue background with a subtle pattern of Bluebirds, which could perhaps hint at such a design for the upcoming New Balance Cardiff 22-23 home kit, although, admittedly, this is pure speculation at this point.
For the 2021-22 season, New Balance did not sponsor a single Premier League or Championship team. In fact, their last deal in one of England's higher leagues was with Liverpool (until 2020).
New Balance have never produced kits in the English Championship before
The Championship as it exists today has been around since 2004-05, with not a single kit ever having been produced by New Balance. Signing Cardiff is definitely a first for the US sports brand.
