For the first time ever, MLS teams will be allowed to sign deals to display brand logos on the sleeves in the upcoming 2020 season.
Announced in late 2018, sleeve sponsors will be allowed for an initial four-year period. With it, the league hopes that teams will be able to generate more revenue to bolster their squads - it was estimated that a single sleeve sponsor deal could be worth between USD 500k and 1 million per season.
Sleeve sponsor logos appear on the right sleeve in the MLS, with the league logo on the left sleeve.
So far only four out of 26 teams in the MLS have announced sleeve sponsors - let's take a look at all of them.
Atlanta United - Piedmont Health
DC United - Caesars Entertainment
LAFC - Target
Toronto - GE Appliances
