Salford City FC have officially confirmed a new club crest, set to be introduced from the 2026-27 season, following a fan-led consultation and vote.
Salford City 2026 Crest
The new Salford City 2026 crest is totally different from the previous logo, which was introduced in 2014.
Supporters voted by a 72% majority in favour of updating the Salford City badge, with the process independently hosted and verified by Goodform. The decision follows an earlier fan vote in October to revert the club’s primary home colour to orange, underlining Salford’s push to reconnect with its identity and heritage.
Salford City 2026 Crest - Key Elements
Rampant Lion: A powerful symbol drawn from historical Salford crests, shown breaking free of the badge to represent intensity, ambition and a relentless on-pitch mentality.
Salford Rose: Inspired by the iconic Salford Lads Club, symbolising passion, pride, and community.
Concentric circles: Referencing a bird’s-eye view of the historic Salford Gasworks.
Custom typography: Lettering based on styles found throughout Salford’s streets, reinforcing local identity.
The redesigned Salford City crest was created in collaboration with New York–based design agency MILK, following months of dialogue with supporters.
