According to a new report from French outlet La Provence [paywall], French giants Olympique de Marseille are set to officially unveil a brand-new club crest in the coming days.
After more than two decades of faithful service, the iconic OM logo that has been in use since 2004 is being replaced by a modernized visual identity.

The logo on the left is expected to be the new Marseille logo.
The graphic redesign - initiated last season under the leadership of club president Pablo Longoria and sporting director Mehdi Benatia - aims to bring the club's branding into the digital age.
According to the report, the new crest will feature a more streamlined look with "rounded contours," designed specifically to be just as recognizable and striking on a tiny smartphone screen as it is on the front of a stadium. Proving that the launch is imminent, the club has already officially registered the new trademark with the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI).
During the design process, some incredibly difficult and controversial decisions were reportedly on the table. At one point, the iconic gold star (symbolizing the club's historic 1993 Champions League victory) and the famous "Droit au but" (Straight to the goal) motto were heavily threatened with removal to achieve a minimalist look. Fortunately for traditionalists, club management ultimately stepped in and decided that both of these defining, historic elements will be retained on the new badge.
The official unveiling of the new Marseille crest is scheduled to take place on April 8, 2026, during the club's "Thirteenth Man" gala event.
