In an interview with newspaper L'Équipe, the president of the Girondins de Bordeaux spoke of the Bordeaux club's post-Covid 19 strategy. In addition to wanting to "strengthen the club's field of influence in the region", the Girondins' development strategy will involve increased international development. "To illustrate this strategy, we will soon present a new logo," said Frédéric Longuépé.

The current Bordeaux logo includes the essential scapula, signature of the club, the date of creation of the club (1881), as well as the city figure. The city figure represents the 3 crescents of the moon - emblem of the port of Bordeaux, inscribed in white on marine background.

Girondins Bordeaux is also set to announce a five-year deal with Adidas to become the club's new kit maker.
