Adidas Ultra Boost 19 Released

Adidas revealed the new ULTRABOOST 19 this week, the fourth generation of the Ultra Boost. The first Ultra Boost was released in early 2015. The Adidas Ultra Boost 19 will launch globally on December 15.

Sam Handy, Vice President Design, adidas Running, said: “In creating the adidas Ultraboost 19, we tore up the rule book. We challenged the status quo of what a running shoe should be and how it should be created. We enlisted runners from all over our network to be a part of this process, with one goal in mind – to create the most responsive, performance-driven version of the adidas Ultraboost possible. On this journey, we literally tore apart the old model and discovered new testing, manufacturing and coloring methods to really challenge ourselves to reach our ambition.”

The Ultra Boost 19 follows on the original, the 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 - it's the biggest update made to the silo to date.

Adidas Ultra Boost 19 - Debut Colorway

While the trademark Boost midsole and Continental outsole remain largely the same, the upper of the Adidas Ultra Boost 19 has undergone huge updates compared to previous generations.

The heel cup has been altered a lot, likely in order to reduce weight. The one-piece Primeknit upper features an interesting color-blocking look, with bits of red woven into the knit to match the heel detail.
