Brazilian club FC São Paulo will sign a five-years kit deal with US brand Under Armour, according to several Brazilian sports newspapers. Under Armour will present the inaugural São Paulo 2015 Kits in May 2015, when the current contract with Penalty expires. In early December 2014, Penalty presented the last FC São Paulo Jersey, to be worn in the first half of 2015.
São Paulo Under Armour Kit Deal Details
According to globoesporte.com, FC São Paulo and Under Armour will announce a five-year kit deal in early 2015. FC São Paulo will receive approximately 22m Euro (R$ 75m) in total (4.4 million Euro / year). Under Armour will provide the sporting goods for all FC São Paulo teams including kits and training jerseys.
With the new FC São Paulo Jersey Deal, Under Armour will enter the Brazilian market. It is the first major Under Armour deal in Brazil. Some months ago, it was also reported that Santos will sign a kit deal with Under Armour, which was denied recently. It was also rumoured that São Paulo signed a five-year kit deal with Puma some months ago, which proved to be incorrect.
Some weeks ago, FC São Paulo players Aidar and Rogério Ceni were spotted wearing Under Armour Soccer Boots, while it is also reported that Luis Fabiano will also wear Under Armour Cleats soon. Under Armour produces the kits for several soccer teams including Tottenham and Cruz Azul.
