Today's Real Madrid training session has been an interesting one for lovers of the boot game once again. And although he's anything but expected to wear them in this weekend's league game, James Rodríguez' boots were none the less worth a closer look.
James, one of the four players to unveil the all-new, laceless Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl boots to the public earlier this month, laced up in yet another variation of the next-generation Adidas Ace 16 cleats today, the Adidas Ace 16+ Primeknit.
James Rodríguez Shows Off Next-Gen Adidas Ace Primeknit 2016 Cleats
Following up on the very successful Adidas Ace 15+ Primeknit soccer cleats, the next-generation Adidas Ace 16 Primeknit cleats combine a synthetic Primeknit upper with a techfit collar for improved lockdown and fit. Contrary to the revolutionary, laceless Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl boots, they still feature a standard lacing system.
After James also tried out the Adidas Ace 15+ Primeknit boots, which he didn't wear in actual matches in the end, prior to release, it remains to be seen whether he'll actually go with the knitted version this time. After all, Adidas will still be producing more traditional, synthetic Adidas Ace boots in 2016.
The next-gen Adidas Ace 16 Primeknit boots are set to be launched in January 2016, while Adidas has prepared a knitted takedown version for the first time, the all-new Adidas Ace 16.2 Primemesh.
