It's finally official. Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea yesterday officially announced that he joined the Three Stripes. De Gea has been wearing Adidas Soccer Boots and Gloves since the start of the 2015-16 season, while he previously laced up in Puma evoSPEED Boots.
In early July 2015, David de Gea returned to pre-season training wearing blackout Adidas Ace Goalkeeper Gloves and the launch colorway of the synthetic version of the Adidas Ace 15.1 Boots. But things have changed since then. So let's take a closer look at the boots and gloves worn by De Gea.

As no further contract details were disclosed yet, it's most interesting to note that the Spaniard switched to the knitted version of the Adidas Ace Boots. Introduced in late September 2015, the Adidas Ace Primeknit Boots introduce a knitted upper for the Adidas Ace range, made for ultimate comfort and ball control (The Adidas Ace range now contains of three different versions: Synthetic, Leather, Knitted).
David de Gea wears a non-modified version of the Adidas Ace 15+ Primeknit Boots with the lettering 'de gea' on the medial side, combined with the matching Solar Red Adidas Ace 2015-2016 Goalkeeper Gloves.
Adidas now supplies the boots for eleven Manchester United players. Coincidentally, Nike also makes the boots for eleven Man Utd athletes, while New Balance (Marouane Fellaini) and Under Armour (Memphis Depay) signed one player, respectively (via Football Boots DB).
David De Gea x Adidas. There certainly could not have been a better time to announce the signing than ahead of the Manchester Derby. So watch out for David de Gea's Boots and Gloves in tomorrow's Premier League clash against Manchester City.
