Brazil Stops Red Jordan Kit

Dramatic news from Brazil: Just one day after assuming the presidency of the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation), Samir Xaud has reportedly ordered Nike to halt production of a planned red away shirt for the Brazilian National Team. In April 2025, Footy Headlines was the first to report that Brazil would get a red Jordan kit. After many protests since our revelation, the story has changed.

CBF President Axes Red Brazil Away Kit – Nike Ordered to Produce Traditional Blue

The red Brazil 2026 World Cup away shirt had reportedly been approved by the former CBF president, Ednaldo Rodrigues, and was possibly already in some stage of production (prototypes likely). The decision by Xaud to immediately intervene and demand a change signifies a strong stance on preserving the national team's traditional visual identity.

Footy Headlines knows that the original Jordan Brazil 2026 World Cup away kit had the main color "Infrared 23". Footy Headlines does not know the exact shade of blue yet, but expects a traditional blue away color.

According to reports, Xaud held an emergency meeting with Nike representatives where he made his preference clear, pushing for the iconic blue away shirt that has been a staple for the Seleção for decades. Nike has reportedly agreed to cease production of the red model and will now begin manufacturing the blue version.
