Combining a grey base with garish details, the Pure Platinum Nike Magista Opus boots form part of Nike's new Elite Pack. Not worn by any high-profile players, the Elite Pack Nike Magista Opus 2 football boots will be available to buy from August 16.
Serving as the low-cut alternative to the also new Nike Magista Obra II cleats, which are worn by Kevin De Bruyne, the new Nike Magista Opus 2016-17 boots feature a completely reworked upper and sole plate.

This image shows the new Nike Magista Opus 2 16-17 cleats in the Pure Platinum colorway.
Featuring light grey (Pure Platinum) as main color, the new Nike Magista Opus II Elite Pack soccer cleats boast a remarkable gradient on each side of the foot, highlighting the new grip texture. Consisting of differently sized dots, the structure aims to improve ball control and touch in those areas.
Both Swooshes, one placed on the medial rear of the new Nike Magista Opus 2 cleats and a larger one on the outside, are black with a Ghost Green outline, while the sockliner, tongue and laces are dark grey. The Nike ACC logo can be seen on the tongue in black.
Albeit similarly shaped as the first-generation Nike Magista Opus soccer boot, the new Nike Magista Opus II brings the all-new grip texture mentioned earlier. The upper is made of leather-like Kangalite, which is also evidenced by a Kangalite logo that can be seen below the smaller Nike logo on the inside.
The external heel counter known from the previous generation was removed, with the Nike Magista Opus II 2016-2017 boots featuring an internal solution instead. The sole plate of the Nike Magista Opus 2 football cleats, identical to that of the Nike Magista Obra II, introduces a new stud layout which sees a number of bladed studs added to the mix.
The Pure Platinum Nike Magista Opus II boots are set to be launched in August 2016, while the first-ever second-generation Nike Magista Opus soccer cleats will be released a month earlier in a bold "Volt, Black, Total Orange and Pink Blast" paint job. The new Nike Magista Opus II football boots are expected to retail at a similar price as the current generation of the boot which is 200 USD (200 Euro, 160 GBP).
