Deportivo La Coruña to Sign Nike Kit Deal - No More Kappa

Deportivo La Coruña will wear Nike kits starting next season after their current five-year contract with Kappa expires in June. The deal will be facilitated through Spanish company Fútbol Emotion, which specializes in sports retail and maintains over 20 stores across Spain. Huge thanks to DXT Campeón - El Ideal Gallego for the info.

Deportivo La Coruña to Switch to Nike Next Season - Deal Handled by Fútbol Emotion

Fútbol Emotion, founded by former goalkeeper Javier Sánchez Broto, has been working with clubs through its Teamsports division for eight years, partnering with brands like Nike and Adidas. The company acts as an intermediary between the brand and club, handling kit customization, retail management, e-commerce, and merchandising. They currently work with clubs like Mallorca, Elche, and Andorra in a similar capacity.

This isn't the first time Deportivo has negotiated with Nike. The club previously discussed a direct partnership in 2017 before ultimately signing with Macron. At that time, Deportivo wanted fully customized designs, but the new arrangement will likely use Nike templates with light personalization from Fútbol Emotion.

The switch reunites Deportivo with a major global brand. Nike currently supplies Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, and Mallorca in La Liga, as well as Andorra in Segunda División through Fútbol Emotion. In Segunda, Deportivo will become the second club wearing the swoosh next season.
