Update: Nike and the Premier League last week announced that they extended their partnership until 2025. Nike showcased all the Premier League footballs that have been released since the partnership began in 2000.
The US sporting giant produced no less than 17 distinct editions as well as many hi-vis winter versions.
Nike GEO Merlin - 2000-01 & 2001-02
Used in the initial two seasons of Nike being the official supplier, the GEO Merlin ball was marketed as being the roundest and most accurate ball ever at the time of its launch.
Nike GEO Merlin Vapor - 2002-03 & 2003-04
Besides subtle updates to the graphic finish, the Nike GEO Merlin Vapor also brought a few changes on the features front - such as the addition of a double-hexagon panel and texture throughout the upper to increase flight stability.
Nike Total 90 Aerow - 2004-05
Easily one of the most iconic ball designs of all time, the famed Nike Total 90 Vapor, named after the football boot model, made its debut in the 2004-05 season and was also used in the following one.
This was also the first one to be released in a winter edition with a yellow color for increased visibility under adverse conditions as found during the shorter days of the year.
Nike Total 90 Aerow - 2005-06
The slighest of updates took place the following year as the hue was changed to a darker shade of blue.
Nike Total 90 Aerow II - 2006-07
It was updated slightly for the Total 90 Aerow II, which also switched the blue color for red.
Nike Total 90 Aerow II - 2007-08
Without making changes to features, Nike changed the accent color of the Total 90 Aerow II from red to blue for the 07-08 season, which saw Manchester United grab the title.
Nike Total 90 Omni 2008-09
A bigger change appeared with the debut of the Nike Total 90 Omni in the 2008-09 season. In order to offer a more consistent feel and touch, arched panels were introduced with this iteration.
Nike Total 90 Ascente 2009-10
These panels were retained for the following model, the Nike Total 90 Ascente, which introduced a very different graphic to complement it.
Nike Total 90 Tracer - 2010-11
Although no "inner" features were change, the Nike Total 90 Tracer was the first ball where Nike tried to aid visibility through the upper graphics it used.
Nike Seitiro - 2011-12
This was taken to another level with the Seitiro which featured the so-called RaDaR (Rapid Decision and Response) system for the first time.
Nike Maxim - 2012-13
The 2012-13 Nike Maxim continued to use this system, but with another set of colors.
Nike Incyte - 2013-14
As did the Nike Incyte, used during the 2013-14 season and featuring a purple-orange accent color scheme.
Nike Ordem II - 2014-15
Introduced in 2014, the Nike Ordem was the first to feature Nike's AerowTrac system and still functions as the base of the current edition.
Nike Ordem III - 2015-16
Last season's edition, the Nike Ordem 3 introduced a very unique gradient design with an all-over black webbing on top.
Nike Ordem IV - 2016-17
Even crazier is the look of the Nike Ordem 4, which combines more colors in an more visually outstanding design.
Nike Ordem V - 2017-18
The fourth official Premier League Match Ball based on the Nike Ordem, the Nike Ordem V 2017-2018 football features an updated bladder. The design is less striking than the look of past balls.
Nike Merlin - 2018-19
For the 2018-2019 season, the Nike Merlin ball returned. More innovative than ever, the modern Nike Merlin incorporating advanced technology, materials and construction to deliver the best Premier League ball yet. Nike has integrated their All Conditions Control (ACC) technology in a football for the first time.
