After more than 20 years at FC Barcelona, Messi officially joined French giants Paris Saint-Germain yesterday. The Argentinian was welcomed by thousands of enthusiastic fans in Paris - the stock of the new PSG 21-22 jerseys has already run out, faster than most expected.
PSG 21-22 Messi Kits More or Less Sold Out
On PSG's official website, there are only very few Messi jerseys available. The Replica edition of the PSG 21-22 home & away jerseys are completely sold out, while they're very few sizes left of the expensive Vapor Match jersey.
Nike has not left any PSG shirts online
In fact, Messi PSG Men's jerseys were already totally sold out on PSG's website this morning local time, less than 16 hours after the deal was completed.
A message on PSG's store reads: "Hey PSG Fans! Due to high demand, we are quickly selling out of Lionel Messi jerseys. We expect to have additional jerseys available on the site for pre-order, with October ship dates soon."
Juventus reportedly sold 520,000 CR7 shirts within 24 hours
On Nike.com, all Paris Saint-Germain 2021-22 football kits in adult sizes are sold out.
Meanwhile, PSG is selling the now already famous white Ici C Est Paris (Here Is Paris) shirt worn by Messi when arriving in Paris on Tuesday, with the date of his arrival added below the slogan.
In 2018, when Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus, it was reported that 520,000 Juve shirts were sold within 24 hours.
