Official Liverpool FC Face Masks Released - BVB Face Masks Reach Insane Sale Numbers

English Premier League club Liverpool FC has become the latest team to sell official face coverings.

On May 20, Liverpool announced that they have donated 25,000 professional protective face coverings to its official charity, LFC Foundation, which will work with the Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the organisation which plans health services for the city, to distribute them for free to the local health system.

The Liverpool face coverings feature rather boring design. The first mask design combines a solid base with a stitched Liverbird, made from cotton. The main paint job is red with the Liverbird in white, while the alternative colorway is black / gold.

Liverpool does also offer completely printed LFC masks without stitched logos, made from 100% recycled polyester.

The Liverpool face covers retail at prices around 5 GBP, available on Pre-Order for delivery w/c 22nd June.

German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund started selling face masks on May 15. The demand for the official BVB face masks was as huge that even the website went down.

"No wonder, thousands of orders were received within the first few minutes. The yellow and black protective masks against the corona virus are in great demand. After only 20 minutes, the mark of 50,000 orders was reached. "That was an all-time high for our shop," BVB marketing director Cramer said.

It has to be noted that all does masks are no medical FFP2 masks, and are also not a replacement for medical grade Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

All proceeds of the team's face mask sales will be donated.
