In a surprise development from Inter Miami's latest training session, Lionel Messi has been spotted wearing a completely mysterious pair of whiteout Adidas boots. While there is no official word yet, visual evidence suggests this is a special, modernized version of the iconic Adidas F50.6 Tunit.
Special Adidas F50.6 Tunit 2026 Edition
The new Adidas F50.6 Tunit 2026 boots are clearly based on the silhouette of the original F50.6 Tunit from 2006, but with significant updates to suit the modern game.
The iconic lace cover (tongue) is present, but it appears to have been tweaked and streamlined compared to the bulky original version.
The most striking design element is the branding. The Three Stripes on the side are much thinner and less "chunky" than the 2006 original. They feature a sharp, aggressive design that resembles a set of "claws," giving the boot a sophisticated and deadly aesthetic.
While the upper screams "Retro," the bottom of the boot tells a different story. The soleplate appears to be a completely new tooling from Adidas.
It is highly likely that Messi is testing the new outsole for the Next-Gen Adidas F50 2026, which is scheduled to be released this summer. Adidas often disguises new tech testing by pairing it with retro-inspired uppers to hide the final design features.

The Year of the Tunit
This spotting makes perfect sense in the context of Adidas' 2026 strategy. The brand is currently in the middle of a massive "revival" of the Tunit line:
- They recently re-released the iconic F50.6 Messi "Chameleon".
- We reported that an 'Electric Yellow' F50.6 Tunit remake is also on the way.
It seems Adidas is not just remaking old boots, but potentially creating a hybrid "F50.6 Future" model that blends the 2006 aesthetic with 2026 performance technology.
