Just after Cristiano Ronaldo was confirmed champion of the 2016-17 Champions League, Nike posted a picture of a young CR7 to its social channels.

'This boy knew.' is written below Ronaldo's face and above a small red Swoosh.
"Nobody believed a boy from Madeira would make it to the stars. Except the boy from Madeira. #justdoit"

It has now been revealed that the original photo saw Ronaldo wearing an Adidas sweatshirt from the brand's Equipment range, which Nike cropped out. A look at the base picture also shows that Nike heavily edited the background to clean it up.
