'Black / Bluefish' Umbro Medusae II Elite Football Boots Launched

Confirming our leak from back in April, Umbro today dropped the alternative black and blue colorway for the Medusae II Elite soccer boot model. The Umbro Medusae II Elite is the brand's first major foray into knitted boots.

This image shows the second-gen Umbro Medusae II Elite soccer cleat.

A setup not unlike the very well-received Puma evoTOUCH, the Umbro Medusae II Elite cleats aim to combine the best of both worlds - the touch of a classic leather boot and the fit and durability of a modern cleat.

They feature a half k-leather, half mesh upper that is combined with a one-piece knit tongue and collar solution. Umbro's trademark 'A-Frame' structure in the midfoot stays and should further help to provide lockdown.

According to Umbro, the knit allows for a reduction of weight while improving stability. The Umbro Medusae II Elite boots weigh in at a mere 185 grams.

The sole plate remains unchanged compared to the first gen of the Umbro Medusae and is essentially still the same as on the Velocita.

Already available, the Umbro Medusae II in 'Black / Bluefish' retails at GBP 180 (EUR 205).
