In preparation of designing the all-new Real Madrid 16-17 home kit, Adidas has dug deep into the archives of Los Blancos. Celebrating the rich history and culture of the Spanish giants, the Real Madrid 16-17 jersey will combine white with purple, the club's most iconic secondary color.

Based on Adidas' Euro 2016 design principles, the new Real Madrid home jersey will be white (officially Crystal White) with purple (Ray Purple) three stripes on the sides, inspired by the very first Real Madrid kit from 1902. The Adidas logo on the chest of the Real Madrid 16-17 kit is expected to be blue, while an unaltered version of the Real Madrid crest will be used.
No details on the design of the Real Madrid home jersey are known, although it is expected to be kept simple for the most part, staying true to the 1902 inspiration.
This way, the Real Madrid 2016-17 home kit will stand in stark contrast to the last few Real Madrid home jerseys which featured unprecedented accent colors for the most part. The 2007-08 Real Madrid home shirt was the last to combine the traditional colors of white and purple.
