Following last week's Ligue 1 and Premier League kick-offs, this weekend will see two other major competitions start the new season, with Spain's La Liga opening this Friday and Serie A the day after. As Barcelona aim to win a third consecutive Liga title, let's take a look at all 20 teams' jerseys for this upcoming season.
Another interesting perspective of a league's kits is to compare the number of teams supplied by the different brands. In the case of La Liga, Adidas (6) and Nike (5) sponsor the most teams, including the "big three", Atlético, Barcelona and Real Madrid. The only other brand to supply more than one team is Joma with four, while Acerbis, Hummel, Lotto, New Balance and Puma all have one La Liga team each.
Deportivo Alavés
Made by Hummel, the Deportivo Alavés 2016-2017 kits introduce very traditional designs.
Athletic Club
The Athletic Bilbao 16-17 kits are made by Nike once again, with both featuring understated and traditional looks that base on the brand's template.
Atlético Madrid
As Atlético is playing its last season at the Vicente Calderón stadium, both Atlético Madrid 2016-17 kits feature a special graphic honoring the iconic home ground on the inside neck.
FC Barcelona
Defending champions Barcelona looked at their past for inspirations for the new 16-17 home kit that is inspired by the 1992 European Cup-winning jersey. Both the Barcelona 2016-17 away and third shirts introduce more modern and unusual looks.
Real Betis
Produced by Adidas, the Real Betis 16-17 home, away and third kits feature smart looks in stripes, dark green and yellow, respectively.
Celta Vigo
Celta's new 2016-17 kits are again made by Adidas and introduce yellow as accent color, both on the home and away versions.
Deportivo La Coruña
Inspired by the past, the Deportivo La Coruña 2016-17 kits by Lotto are very clean and simple, with the third shirt sticking out in particular.
SD Eibar
Again made by Puma, Eibar's 2016-2017 kits are virtually unchanged from last season.
RCD Espanyol
Joma again makes the Espanyol kits, with both the home and away featuring gradient styles on the stripes.
Granada CF
Also made by Joma are the new Granada 16-17 home, away and third kits.
UD Las Palmas
Both of the new Las Palmas 16-17 kits, made by Acerbis, feature traditional collars, although the away kit is unlikely to be used an awful lot of times.
CD Leganés
Although based on templates from last season, the CD Leganés 16-17 kits are fit for the club's La Liga debut. Both are kept very traditional and simple, yet inspired.
Málaga CF
Featuring the Nike Swoosh, the Málaga 16-17 kits are based on the brand's teamwear catalog. After a few seasons without a main sponsor, Marathon Bet has joined forces with the Andalusian club.
CA Osasuna
Made by Adidas, the new Osasuna 16-17 home and away kits introduce interesting designs that appear to be based on the brand's miadidas templates.
Real Madrid
Another team to feature the iconic Three Stripes is of course Real Madrid. Whereas the Real Madrid 16-17 home and - to a lesser extent - away kits feature classic designs inspired by the past, the new third jersey introduces a unique and all-new look, inspired by the club's tradition to celebrate trophies at the Plaza de Cibeles.
Real Sociedad
The new Real Sociedad 2016-2017 kits are also made by Adidas. They feature smart designs, with the away one boasting a color combination that's relatively new to the club.
Sevilla FC
Made by New Balance, the Sevilla 16-17 home, away and third kits are kept very traditional. They are white, red and citrus, respectively.
Real Sporting Gijón
Having changed from Kappa to Nike, the new Sporting Gijón 16-17 home and away kits are based directly on the brand's teamwear offering.
Valencia CF
Both of the new Valencia 16-17 shirts, made by Adidas, feature orange accents in the form of the brandings, collar and in the case of the away, the team logo.
Villarreal CF
After a few years with Chinese brand Xtep, which saw the kits virtually unchanged for a few seasons, Villarreal has signed with local brand Joma. The Villarreal 16-17 home kit is once again quite understated, but the new away and third kits feature all-new looks for the club.
