Hansa Rostock Announce Deal With Mizuno - Third German Club to Move from Nike to Mizuno

Hansa Rostock announced that they will have Mizuno as their new kit sponsor from next season replacing Nike. That decision also means that Hansa have now joined two other German clubs, Bochum and Augsburg who also move from Nike to Mizuno.

Patrick Glockner’s side have previously been in partnership with the American-based sportswear for 12 years but the club believe it’s time to move on while thankful for the excellent partnership they have had. Aside from ending their partnership with Nike, Hansa also parted ways with sportswear distributor and individual post-processing, 11teamsports.

Choosing a new kit partner after a long partnership with the American-based manufacturer certainly was not an easy choice for the 2. Bundesliga outfit but Mizuno is certainly not a random choice. The Japan-based sportswear’ pedigree, notably after their recent collaboration with Bochum and Augsburg surely made Hansa’s decision easier.
