No financial details of the Umbro Fluminense jersey deal were announced. The deal is reported to be valid for three years, from 2020 until 2023.
Fluminense's president, Mário Bittencourt, explained that the company's strong production capacity and great knowledge in the segment were fundamental for the partnership.
“Umbro places more than 4 million products annually on the market and, as a result, we will have a good representation of our shield in official parts, reaching thousands of sales points throughout Brazil. It is with great joy that we announce Umbro as our sporting goods supplier. We are very excited about this journey together and hope it will be a time of great glory,” said Mario Bittencourt.
“We are very happy to have Fluminense by our side and we will certainly do everything to bring the best to one of the most traditional fans in the country. We are working hard to develop a new uniform, packed with elements that reinforce the grandeur of this glorious club, ”says Paulo Mündel, Umbro Marketing Director.
The first Umbro Fluminense pieces are expected to be released between March and April next year, for the Brazilian Championship and other cups. Umbro's calendar would "include the preparation of uniforms 1, 2 and 3, in addition to goalkeepers, training and travel lines."
