Nike today released the all-new PhantomVNM football boot. The debut colorway of the Nike Phantom Venom 2019 soccer cleat is part of the 'Game Over' collection. The Nike PhantomVNM will hit stores on January 19 2019.
"My finishing is a balance between power and placement," says USWNT star Alex Morgan. "It depends where I am in the box, but I'd say my focus is usually 60/40 accuracy versus power.”
“We teamed up with our research lab to utilize a robotic leg to test strikes from a variety of angles with urethane injected ‘blades’ across the instep,” notes Jeongwoo Lee, Senior Design Director for Nike Football Footwear. “This enabled us to go deep statistically on the impact that the various blade iterations had on accuracy, elevation, power and spin. The lab data helped us land on the exact specifications of Precision Pwr strike zone built for finishers.”
The debut Nike Phantom Venom Elite soccer cleats introduce a vibrant and eye-catching look in orange and black, recalling memories of the iconic Total 90 line.
The all-new Nike Phantom Venom soccer boot replaces the Hypervenom Phantom 3.
Nike Phantom Venom Elite - Total Orange / Black
This is the all-new Nike Phantom Venom Elite boot in 'total orange' and black.
The debut Nike Phantom Venom Elite soccer boots, part of the 'Game Over' collection, are predominantly 'total orange' with contrasting black used for all key tech parts all over the boot.
There's a black line across the upper with 'Phantom VNM' written on its inside, with Nike interestingly using the same font as for the Phantom Vision. The two silos, Phantom Venom and Phantom Vision, will indeed be 'linked' through similarly styled colorways throughout the coming months.
On the instep of the orange Nike Phantom Venom soccer cleats we can see a distinct grip structure, which brings back memories of the iconic Nike Total 90 Laser, a boot that was discontinued in favor of the Hypervenom in 2013.
