An almost all-black Adidas X 17.1 colorway forms part of the Magnetic Storm pack, released this morning. Combining a black base with iridescent details, the black Adidas X 17 cleats kick off the 2017-18 season in style.

Predominantly black, the Magnetic Storm edition of the Adidas X 17 features the same "polka dot" pattern as the summer's other paint jobs, although in much more reserved fashion. The understated base of the Adidas X 17.1 boots is accompanied by tonal logos with a subtle iridescent finish on both sides.
Tech-wise, the Adidas X 17 Magnetic Storm boots are the same as the white and blue launch colorway and are also more or less identical to the X 16.1. Designed to reduce wear-in time and offer a firm fit, the Adidas X 17.1 has a techfit compression upper. Lacing and traction are the same as on the previous generation, and the upper once again features a thin NSG (Non-Stop Grip) texture.
Adidas X 17.1 - Features
- One-piece techfit compression upper
- NSG (Non-Stop Grip) upper texture
- Sprintframe outsole
- Chaos stud alignment
On sale from July 6, the black-iridescent Adidas X 17 Magnetic Storm boots retail at 200 USD (220 EUR, 180 GBP).
As most times with the more understated editions, the Magnetic Storm Adidas X boots are not expected to receive a lot on-pitch support from the likes of Gareth Bale or Luis Suárez.
