Black / Red Next-Gen Adidas Ace 2017 Boots Revealed

The third-gen Adidas Ace 2017 football boots introduce a Predator-inspired effort that will be welcomed by most as the initial colorway. The first-ever Adidas Ace 17 soccer cleat will be available to buy from early December 2016, less than a year after the drop of the previous generation.

The new Adidas Ace 2017 soccer boots will be released in a color-blocking, red-and-black design, complete with white Adidas stripes. Barely hiding the underlying inspiration, they more or less closely resemble what one would expect a modern Predator to look like.

Tech-wise, the third-generation Adidas Ace 17 soccer cleats make the heightened collar the default look, across all takedown models. The whole construction of the Ace 17.1 is akin to the laceless Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl cleats; it doesn't include a traditional tongue and the laces are only added through an array of loops along the top of the shoes.

In terms of material, the Adidas Ace 2016 football boots feature a knitted upper, overlaid with a thin synthetic layer for improved durability and NSG (Non-Stop Grip) texture for better control under all conditions.

The new Adidas Ace 2017 football boots also introduce a new, albeit heavily influenced by their predecessor, sole plate. It features eleven conical studs, split between four at the rear and seven at the front. All in all, a very traditional alignment. Additionally, the sole plate of the new Adidas Ace 17 soccer cleats retains an arch in the center for increased stability.

Set to be available to buy from December 1, 2016, red-and-black Adidas Ace 17.1 soccer boots retail at 250 EUR.
